|Stars High School and College Swimmers shine this past season|| |

Solon Stars age group swimmers were not the only ones who had great success this past season. Stars swimmers representing their high schools and colleges also achieved great things. Alisa Vereshchagin, a freshman at Kenyon, won the 200 yd. breaststroke at NCAA Division 3 Nationals with a time of 2:14.71. Also competing at D3 Nationals was Brad Henderson, a senior at Carnage Mellon.
Stars High School swimmers also swam well at the district and state level. Stars state champions include Ian Stewart-Bates in the 200(1:38.64) and 500 (4:31.02) frees. Ian was joined by his brother Ben on the winning 400 free relay. For the girls, Morgan Cohara swam on 2 winning relays (200 medley and 400 free). She was also state runner up in the 200 yd. free.
Stars swimmers winning high school district titles include Gretchen Hestley (100 free, 200 medley and 400 free relays), Morgan Cohara (200 free, 100 back, 200 medley and 400 free relays). Annie Marquiss, Emily Schwartz, Melissa Besman, and Brianna Sciara where also on winning relays. For the boys, Alex Cohara captured the 200 free, Jamie Gallagher won the 500 free, Terrence Wong took the 100 fly and Chris Gluvna got the 200 IM. On the boys Division 2 side, Ian Stewart-Bates took both the 200 and 500 free. Ben Stewart-Bates joined Ian on the winning 400 free relay.
